This testing method is applied to control of work for preparing large-sized steel-reinforced concrete joints in precast-concrete manufacture with possibility of substituting for the standard testing method authorized by the Building Center of Japan in July 1997 for SS-mortar type 〓. This paper represents results of a study conducted for clarifying relationship of the substitute method to the standard method in order to determine criteria of the compressive strength for appropriate work control at the work site. The items clarified as a result of the study are : 1. The relationship of control strength of cylindrical specimens of ordinary-mortar and SS mortar (100N/mm^2) to that of both cubic and prism specimens of both types of mortar, and 2. Control criteria of strength of cubic and prism specimens of ordinary mortar and SS mortar (100N/mm^2)
