豚のアルコール性肝障害に対する生物学的に活性なセラミックウォーターの防御作用(病理学)

• 多くの有害な障害物質の中で, アルコールは肝炎・脂肪肝・肝線維症・肝硬変の原因であると指摘される.本研究では, アルコールにより誘発された豚の肝障害に対する生物学的に活性なセラミックウォーターの防御作用を評価することを目的とした.12頭の雌のランドレースを3群に分け, 第1群には生物学的に活性なセラミックウォーターと通常の流動食, 第2群には生物学的に活性なセラミックウォーターと15%エタノールを含む流動食, 第3群には水道水と15%エタノールを含む流動食を12週間与えた.血清学的, 病理組織学的, 免疫組織化学的検査のため, 12週目にすべての豚を屠殺した.第3群では, 血清中のALTとASTの増加, 軽度の脂肪化と中等度の壊死が認められ, 膠原線維と筋線維芽細胞が増加し, CYP2E1も活性化していた.第2群では, 第3群に比べ軽度の肝障害がみられたが, 第1群では肝臓における障害は認められなかった.今回の研究では, 使用した生物学的に活性なセラミックウォーターはエタノールによる豚における肝障害に対して防御作用を有することが示され, このセラミックウォーターがアルコール性肝疾患に苦しむ患者に対して治療用飲料水として役に立つ可能性が示唆された.
