Wall Energy and Exchange Stiffness in CoCr Films Sputtered on Low Temperature Substrates

In CoCr films sputtered on polyimide substrates with 27℃, the stripe domains and the wall motion could be observed clearly using the Bitter method. The behaviour of the domains and the magnetic properties, the saturation magnetization M_s, Curie temperature T_c and the anisotropy energy K_u were investigated as a function of Cr-content. Due to the dilution effect, the values of M_s, T_c and K_u decrease with increasing Cr-content. The wall energy density and the exchange stiffness change with M^2_s, namely they decrease with Cr-content, while the wall width is about 210 Å independent of Cr-content.
