Anisotropy of Elastic Scattering of Low-Energy Electrons in Noble Gases

The elastic differential cross sections of low-energy electrons with He, Ne, Ar, Kr and Xe atoms are investigated with the phase shifts obtained theoretically. The results show the forward scattering and the behavioral variation with the scattering angle for the Ramsauer gases (Ar, Kr and Xe), and the isotropic scattering for He and Ne.
