Colorimetric Characteristics of Neutral Polarizers

概要
- 論文の詳細を見る
Two kinds of practical polarizers (neutral gray and bluish gray) developed for twisted nematic liquid crystal displays were examined colorimetrically using CIE 1976 (L^*u^*v^*) space. Colorimetric data of these polarizers were obtained and some evaluations were made. The brightness of both polarizers is a logarithmic function of the conventionally defined transmittance (T) for white light. The color difference is a logarithmic function of the contrast ratio (C) for the neutral gray polarizer, but not for the bluish gray one.
