Non-synchronous increases in activities of peroxisomal enzymes in etiolated mung bean seedling leaves after illumination

When etiolated 4-day-old seedlings of mung bean were illuminated, catalase, glycolate oxidase and hydroxypyruvate reductase activities in the primary leaves increased non-synchronously. Under intense light, glycolate oxidase activity increased while catalase activity did not. Phytochrome seems to be involved in increases in all three enzyme activities.
