Plastic injection molding was conducted with a mold cavity mounting a precision Ni stamper, which was fabricated by the LIGA process. Test patterns were designed to have continuous aspect ratio of maximum 2.5. The used molding materials were PC, PMMA, and COP in consideration of applications in the optical and mechatronics fields. Because of the test patterns having micro spaces, all kinds of materials didn't filled the test patterns having the maximum height of 100μm perfectly. In order to achieve the proper material filling into microstructure, we were interested in molding factors such as the injection speed, injection pressure, resin and molding temperature, we were interested in molding factors such as the injection speed, injection pressure, resin and molding temperature. We clarified in molding factors such as the injection speed, injection speed, injection pressure, resin and molding temperature. We clarified the flowing properties of molding materials though the spiral flow experiment, revealed the effect of molding conditions on the transferability property of microstructures, and carried out molding condition of higher transferability with COP which has a sufficient transferability for practical application using plastic injection molding.
