Pulsed-laser indtrced transient thertnoelectric efl'ect (TTE) ?ttad tnagnetotransport unearsture-naents have been made f'or molecvrlar cotadvxctors (DNI6-DCNQI)2CVl (/r salt) and its deuteratedcrystals (dr salt) along the c-axis over the teunperattrre range 4.2 -300 K. The photogeneratedTTI) voltage decays exponentially with two ch?xracteristic rel?xxation tiraaes r) and 72 dtme tohole diffttsions, ['olIowed by a therxanal dif[vxsion process of photogenerated phonons. Frouaa tlaeserelaxation tiraaes, xve have estimated the corresponding hole taaoToilities p3 and p7 (especially p,gat low teraaperature exceeds as high as 6,000cna'/Vs), which shoxv an trntrstrally strong tetaareratttre derendence at high texaareratvxres (un, ox cx T ' I'or the h salt and AZ.2 (X T "' forthe d=r salt), strggesting the presence of' any 2[I1O1118.IOUS scattering zaaech?tnistaa in these salts, inaddition to converational netttral imptzrity arad phonon scatterings. Ftrrthernaore, with specialohutuic contacts to a tiny sanaple, ',we have svrccessfvtlly xaaeasured the positive Hall voltage andmagnetoresistance for tlae It salt, both of which shoxv a nonlinear magnetic-field dependence.The galvanounagnetic properties of the It salt are reztsonably explained by a two-c?trrier naodelmainly of' txvo types of holes located arovxnd the f and P poirnts in the Brillotrin zone of' tlaethree-diznensional (3D) anisotropic band, with concentrations, pj- and pp, and naol.cilities, pj-(:7?z) and ALP (:p.v ), respectively. 1VIoreover, we hax'e calctulated the temperatture dependenceof the dc conductivity, in general accord witla the observations, xvhose analyses yield tlae Ferunienergy for the d7 salt, Ep : 42tneV (enhancezment of fj-?), conapared to 2OtneV f'or the h salt,and the ef['ective l11dSS at tlae P point [mr>: 1.67720 for the h salt and rnv = 2.37720 for tlaed7 salt, cornpared to the theoretical valvtes arovrnd the T point, 7727-O(3.6 -4.3)mgl. The carriertransport along tlae c-axis at low teraaperattrre is taaostly due to the holes arotrnd the T point,xvhile, at high tenaper?xttrres, electrouas in the one-ditaaensional (10) electron band are also re-sponsible for the carrier transport; the tenaper;rtttre dependence of its condtrctivity follows thepoxver law o. x T "'. Fiuaatlly, we hatve disctrssed a possible lcand rnodel for both s?tIts, wherethe enhancezaaent of the hole Fertaai energy by partial detmteration in the DlVIe-DC[NQI mo1ectrJeis iuaaportant to indvxce the xaaetal-insvxlator transition occurring in tlae 47 salt.
