Short Range Order Effect in Paramagnetic Resonance Line Width of CuF_22H_2O

A precies experimental study of the paramagnetic resonance line width in CuF_22H_2O was made over a wide temperature range (1.1<T/T_N<30). The result shows that the line width is isotropic at high temperatures but it becomes anisotropic below about 26°K. It was found that the temperature dependence of the paramagnetic resonance line width △H can be expressed by the following empirical formula: △H-[△H]_∞=A'T/T_N-1)^<-n>, where [△H]_∞ is the line width in the high temperature limit. A and n are the constants determined as follows: 1・1<T/T_N<1.3 n=1.1±0.1 along both the a and c axes, A=16±2 Oe (H//a-axis), A=25±3 Oe (H//c-axis), 1.3<T/T_N<2.O n=1.9±0.2 along both the a and c axes, A=6±1 Oe (H//a-axis), A=11±1.5 Oe (H//c-axis).
