An experiment of stochastic resonance (SR) using well-characterized colored noise was per-formed in an optical bistable systeuta. The resonance signal peculiar to SR was observed, and thedependence of the resonance signal on the noise ctrtoff frequency was studied. The SR experimentwas well reproduced by a ntrtnerical sirntrlation using a ztaodel systena.
