In absorr>tion srectrunt of Curl cr>'stal in the far-infrared u'egion, distinctr>eaks of two-rhonon suxcanaation bands at 62.6 and 75.8 Clll-', and a differenceband at 67.5 CJ11=' have been observed and their tenaperature dependence areanalyzed. From conaparison of the intensity of the difference band with that ofan expected suntn'nation band of the sante phonons, it is presumed that the differ-ence band is rnainlv due to the second order dipole ntoment.
