The Millimeter Wave Absorption in the Paraelectric Defect System of NaCl: OH^- Measured by a Ledatron Oscillator

Using a Ledatron oscillator designed for the spectroscopy in the millimeter waveregion, the temperature dependence of the absorption by the paraelectric impurityof the 0I[= ton in the Nail crystal is studied at the wavelength of 5 mm region in thetemperature range between 4.2 and 1.4 K. The result is consistent with th<>energy levelscheme of the defect system proposed by Kirby, Hughes and Sievers.
