Effect of Gauge Fields on Nuclear Magnetic Relaxation Rate and Spin Susceptibility

The effect of gauge fields representing the local constraints and the phase fluctualion of the bond order parameters are investigated for the fluxless state which wasrecently proposed by Nagaosa and L,ee as a possible model for high T. oxides. If thesystem is clean, both spin susceptibility and NMR rate, (T,T ) , are found to be essen-tially independent of tempera1.ure, whereas in a dirty case, the latter increases in pro-portion to the inverse temperature.
