Superconducting Critical Temperature of Overdoped LnBa_2Cu_3O_<y+Δy> (Ln=La, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm and Yb)

A series of overdoped LnBa_2Cu_3O_<y+Δy> (Ln=La〜Yb) was synthesized at high oxygen pressure for investigating the relationship between the superconducting critical temperature T_c, overdoping oxygen content Δ_y, and Ln. T_c of 1-2-3 compound LnBa_2Cu_3O_<y+Δy> remains almost unchanged through various levels of overdoping for small ionic radii of Ln. As the ionic radus of Ln increases, T_c decreases with the level of overdoping. The decrease changes systematically from EuBa_2Cu_3O_<y+Δy> to LaBa_2Cu_3O_<y+Δy>; the decrease for LaBa_2Cu_3O_<y+Δy> is the steepest. T_c is also reduced probably by the mixing of Ln and Ba, as observed in NdBa_2Cu_3O_<y+Δy> and LaBa_2Cu_3O_<y+Δy>.
