Under a uatiforuat hydrostatjc pressure of about 5 kbar, Rbl si?ag1e crystalurxdergoes a pluase tu'a?asition frona Nail type to CsCj type polycrystal havxngpreferred orjexatatiotas. The orientation relatiouu is approxinaately as follows :[1113(CsCl)//[1004(NaC1) and [100](CsCl)//[1114(NaC1). This oriexttationa relationis differezat f?'oxn othet- types as observed for .teuaapen'ature-i?uduced trauasitiota ofCsCI or amaa?moxaiuuat halides.
