Ce-substituted YIG films are grown using a liquid-phase epitaxy method from MoO_3-K_2MoO_4-Y_2O_3 pseudoternary flux. The growth rate is found to be less than that in PbO-based flux by 1/100. The films with more Ce^<3+> ions are grown from melts where CeVO_4 is used as a starting cerium material. Ce doping of less than 0.05 (at./f.u.) is attained. Faraday rotation characteristics of the Ce-substituted YIG are observed in the grown films.
