Syntheses of 3-substituted 2,4-dioxo-1,2,3,4,6,7-hexahydro-5H-cyclopenta [d] pyrimidines (3-substituents : methyl, cyclohexyl, phenyl) from 2-ethoxycarbonylcyclopentanone were investigated. These compounds were alkylated in 1-position to give 1,3-disubstituted pyrimidine derivatives (1-substituents : CH_3,CH_2COOR, CH_2CONR_2,CH_2CH_2NR_2). Their acute toxicities and analgetic, antipyretic, and antiinflammatory activities were tested.
