Thermoelectric Power and an Order-Parameter Associated with the Phase Transition at 180 K of the Organic Metal,(DMET)_2Au (CN)_2

The thermoelectric power of (DMET).Au(CN). was measured between liquidnitrogen and room temperatures. The metallic nature and the hole-like character ofthe conduction carriers were confirmed. A small anomaly due to the phase transitionat 180 K was detected in the temperature dependence. A tentative estimate is made ofan order-parameter associated with the phase trarnsition.[thermoelectric power, order parameter, phase transition, organic metal, lj (DMET).Au(CN).ll
