The magnetic flux distribution in a nonideal type 2 superconductor during thedecrease of an external magnetic field below the lower critical field H..'is discussedby the use of a modified critical-state model. The modification of the model iscarried out by a semi-macroscopic investigation on the local force balance aroundtrapped fluxoids in this field region. The present model leads to the magnetizationcurve which agrees well with the experimental data by Kes et al.
