On the Elasticity of Fluxoid Lattice in Type II Superconduntors

The uniaxially compressional and tilt moduli of the fluxoid lattice obtained fromthe recent nonlocal theory have remarkable dispersion with respect to the wavenumber of deformation. However, the Lorentz force originating from the distorsionof these kinds in the fluxoid lattice is not dispersive, which implies that these elasticmoduli have no dispersion as derived from the local theory. In order to examine thisdiscrepancy, the relation between the displacement of the magnetic flux and that ofthe normal core of the fluxoid is investigated by using the c)uantization condition ofthe magnetic flux which has been disregarded in the nonlocal theory. The presentresult shows that the two displacements are the same.
