It is shown by computer simulations that a diverging thermonuclear reaction wave ina liigh density plasma is an accelerating overcompressed detonation. The propagationstages of the reaction wave are classified according to differet?t processes of energytransfer such as the a-particle diffusion, the shock heating and the electron thermalconduction. The front of the reaction wave consists of the shock compressed reguonproceeded by a pre-heating zone, where the effect of z-particle diffusion exceeds that ofthe electron thermal conduction.
