Stability of Triple Solitary Waves and Effects of Inhomogeneities

It is shown that solitary waves are stable if the group-velocities of two hyperbolic-secant type waves are different and that even in weakly inhomogeneous plasmas triple solitary waves propagate with their phases varying so as cancel the phase mismatch due to the inhomogeneities.
