A system of equations u,-V(u'/2-Fcxu..-Fpu..).=O (m, no positive integers, /7'/"O) isstudied by means of Hirota's method and the singular manifold expansion. Thesingular manifold expansion yields the transformation of the system into bilinearforms or higher order ones and we obtain some explicit solutions of the system inphysically interesting but non-integrable cases.
