Dissociated motor loss in the upper extremity with cervical spondylosis is a rare condition, which Keegan first recognized in 1965.The cause of this condition is not well known and diagnosis is difficult. In this report, we had 8 cases, from 1975 to 1983, four cases were Keegan type and another four cases were cervical spondylotic amyotrophy. There were no remarkable roentgenographic and myelographic differences between Keegan type and cervical spondylotic amyotrophy.All cases were treated surgically and these results were relatively satisfactory.And then, we showed three cases of Keengan type cervical spondylosis, which causes were different each other (osteophyte, O. P. L. L. and disc herniation).
