Ligustilidiol, 3-buthylidene-4,5-dihydro-6,7-trans-dihydroxy-phthalide, was isolated from a crude drug, Cnidium Rhizome. This phthalide, however, was not isolated from fresh rhizome of Cnidium officinale MAKINO.
