Isolation of Phenolic Compounds from Stems of Olea europaea

Presence of oleuropein (IV) in Olea europaea Linn. (Oleaceae) is known. And the present paper describes isolation of four phenolic compounds, i.e. kaempferol (I), quercetin (II), esculetin (III) and esculin (V) from stems thereof and identification of their chemical structures.
