Studies on the Constituents of Astragalus membranaceus II. : Structure of Triterpenoidal Glycoside, Huangqiyenin D, from its Leaves

A new triterpenoidal saponin, huangqiyenin D, was isolated from the leaves of Astragalus membranaceus and characterized as 3-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-6-acetyl cycloastragenol on the basis of chemical and spectral evidences. Two known flavonoidal glycosides were also isolated from the same materials.
