Treatment of Class I malocclusion with the tooth size discrepancy caused by microteeth : A case report

In patients with malocclusion and tooth size discrepancy, it is important to consider planning for post treatment prosthesis at the time of initial orthodontic diagnosis. Anomaly of maxillary lateral incisor size is the most common cause of discrepancy. The present case report describes an orthodontic treatment for a patient with lip protrusion and tooth size discrepancy resulting from extremely small maxillary lateral incisors. The maxillary lateral incisors were repositioned so that each lateral incisor was centered in the space between the central incisor and the canine. After completion of active treatment, maxillary lateral incisors were restored with porcelain laminate veneers.
