The possibility of two-dimensional superconductivity in (La, Ba)_CuO_4 and (La, Sr)_2CuO_4 is discussed based on experiments in magnetic susceptibility and upper critical magnetic field. Both results seem to indicate that two-dimensional superconductivity occurs below 20 K in these materials.
