Differences in hydraulic behavior of the dispersed liquid were evaluated for three mechanical foam-breakers in which the impact of dispersed liquid particles on rising foam is a significant feature of the foam-breaking.Comparison of these differences with the differences in foam-breaking performance of the apparatuses observed in the previous work revealed that foam-breaking performance is related to the hydraulic behavior of the dispersed liquid. Based on the relations obtained, the hydraulic properties of the dispersed liquid which must be satisfied in this kind of mechanical foam-breaker were elucidated.
