Some Factors Affecting the Performance of a Mechanical Foam-breaker with a Rotating Disk

Foam-breaking was studied quantitatively with a new type of mechanical foam-breaker with a rotating disk(MFRD). Two empirical equations were presented for predicting the critical disk rotational speed, N_c, and power consumption P_k, in foam-breaking regions. It was concluded that these equations can be conveniently used for the eveluations of N_c and P_k under any operating conditions of the MFRD.
