An adjustable 4-link path generating mechanism is applied to an automatic conveying machine by attaching the mechanisms which constrain the coupler direction and act to pass through the change point. The driving system is constructed of an induction motor, magnetic powder clutch and brake, and the dynamic characteristics of the machine under the fluctuation of the load are investigated theoretically and experimentally. And by this, the conveying and positioning works which are speedy and accurate have become possible.
