Dielectric and ferroelectric properties of Ca.Sr(CH,CH.C00)....,(ncr.cr.coo),. crystals (0<,X'<2.48 X 10 ') were studied to clarify the role of mo-lion of propionate ions in the I-II phase transition of Ca.Sr(CH.CH.C00).(DSP)f'bd O'hcrystal. When the content o HCF.CF.CO0 1011,X', IS etween 0 an 3.42Xl , t eCurie temperature, T., decreased outstandingly with increasing x according to the rela-lion of T.(x) = 7'.(0) - S6Ox, but the magnitude of spontaneous polarization, P., werenot increased by doping of HCF.CF,COO ion. From the above results, it was concluded that the motion of the propionate ion acts a trigger of I-II phase transition. Inthe higher content of x, the doping of HCF.CF.C0O ion changed the I-II phase Iran-sition drastically: At 8.77 X 10 ' of x, we found an unusual phase transition similar toa diffuse phase transition.
