Optical absorption and photoelectron spectra of CsPbC]. and CsPbBr. havebeen studied. A sharp absorption peak is fotmd at about :; eV in CsPbCl. and2.4 eV in CsPbBr. and its position shifts toward lower energy as the temperaturedecreases. XPS and UPS measurements of. the materials suggest that this firstpeak is to be assigned mainly to the 6s=6p transition in Pb" ions.
