The spectral distributions of the photocurrent at different retarding potentialshave been measured for KMnF. and KZnF. thin films. The synchrotron radiationof INS-SUR was used as a light source. The threshold energies of the photoemis-sion from the valence band and the K"3p core level have been determined. Theexistence of inelastic scattering involving d-d transition of transition metal ion inKMnF. has been inferred. The valence exciton structure in the photoelectric yieldspectra has been investigated.
