Multiplet Structures in XPS Spectra of 3p and 3s Subshells of Magnetic Ions in Perovskite Fluorides

XPS spectra of KMF. (M : Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn) were obtained for M 3pand M 3s subshells, and the structures were analysed using the simple multiplettheory. They are in fairly good agreement with the calculation in energy position,but not in intensity. The multiplets with higher energies are often found to be verybroad. The obtained parameters are compared with the l-Iartree-Fock calculationof Watson.
