Magneto-optical Study of the Exciton States in CsPbCl_3

Magnetic field effect on the exciton bands of CsPbCI. at about 3 eV has beenmeasured by use of a superconducting magnet available up to 150 k0e. When themagnetic field is perpendicular to the electric field of the light, the peak splits intotwo. On the other hand when they are parallel to each other, the peak does notsplit and shows only shift to higher energy with increasing magnetic field. Theseresults can be quaJitativeIy understood as the direct exciton transition at the 7?point of the Brillouin zone.
