A new optical detection method of [SR in the RES of the F center has beendeveloped. It is tested for KBr, RbC1, and RbBr by monitot-ing the change in theMCP of the F emission produced by the ESR transition, when the F excitationlight is circularly polarized. Diamagnetic component of the MCP for RbCl andRbBr are presented as l,A./II.?=(l3.0fl.3) ancl (11.0.1.1.5)XIO "Oe ', andparamagnetic component for RbC1 is presented as ,1.=(1.3 [0.2) x 10 '
