We have studied the ESR of Ti^<3+> ions substituted for Al^<3+> ions occupying mirror symmetry sites (C_s point-group symmetry) in chrysoberyl of laser quality. From the analysis of the principal values of g-tensor observed, the symmetry of the Ti^<3+> site is found to be higher than of point group C_s. The Stark split-energy levels related to the ground state of the Ti^<3+> ion are estimated to be 1060 cm^<-1>, 1280 cm^<-1>, and 19000 cm^<-1> with applying Pryce's formula, which was derived by assuming a crystalline field model of D_<2h> point group symmetry.
