Low-Temperature Speciffic Heats of Betaine Phosphate and Successive Phase Transitions at 82.7 and 87.1K

Specific heats of betaine phosphate were measured in the temperature region fromliquid helium temperature to room temperature. Two specific heat anomalies werefound at f32.67 K and 87.11 K due to a new phase transition and the antiferroelectricphase transition, respectively. The sum of the two transition entropies was defer-minedas0.40JK'mol'.
