X-ray diffuse scattering passing tln'ough (DO LTI/2) and extended perpendi-cularly to the c'-direction is observed in the ground state of the Wolffram's redsalt at room temperature. The chain structure -Pt"-Cl-Pt"-Cl- is confirmed, however, it is not long range. The short range correlation shows the one-dimen-sional character.
