A dielectric relaxation study of a liquid crystal (CS-2005) with a phase sequence of Sm C^*-N^*-Iso was performed to investigate the molecular dynamics associated with the phase transitions. An extra relaxational mode in a low frequency (below 100 Hz) region was found in N^* and Iso phases. The mechanism of phase transition of the liquid crystal (CS-2005) with a phase transition sequence of Sm C^*-N^*-Iso and the origin of the low frequency relaxational mode were investigated
