Relaxation processes associated with crystallization and g1ass transition in amorphous 5PbO-3GeO_2. have been investigated. The glass transition temperature and the crystallization temperature are found to depend on the heating rate and the annealing time. Elastic properties of amorphous ribbons have been measured varying the temperature and under various annealing conditions. The temperature dependence of structural relaxation time has been determined by measuring the sound velocity. The results are phenomenologically discussed based on a thermodynamical energy scheme.
