Nuclear magnetic resonance of "Co nuclei in Gd. ,Y,(Fe..Co..). and Gd 1 -,Y.(Fe..Co..). has been observed at 77 K as a function of Y concentrarion. Thecontribution of 4f electrons of Gd atoms to the hyperfine fields is estimated asat most 10 k0e in these two systems. This value is interpreted as the sum of thechange in three kinds of contributions caused by Y substitution; the core polari-zation in the central Co atom, the conduction electron polarization arising fromnearest neighbor Fe and Co atoms and the transferred hyperfitxe field fromneighboring Gd atoms. The temperature dependence of resonance frequenciesin Gd(Fe..Co..). and Gd(Fe..Co..)z has also been measured.
