Doppler Broadening Measurement of Positron Annihilation in Alkali Hydrides and Alkali Fluorides

Doppler broadening of the positron annihilation in LiH, Nap, LjF and NaFwere measured with a Ge(Li) detector. The annihilation radiation spectra wereobserved up to higher momentum regions and an influence of the j:>ositive ionson the momentum distribution was investigated. It was shown that 1.he distribu-tion of Lit is broader than that of NaF, but the higher momentunt regions ofthem are almost the same. The distribution of NaH is slightly na:rrower thanthat of Lid, but both distributions are narrower than those of LiF artd NaF. Themomentum distributions were decomposed into two or three corn)oonents andthe interference term was discussed.
