Observation of a Field-Suppression of Spin Fluctuations in TMMC by Nuclear Magnetic Resonance

The proton relaxation rate T3 ' in one-dimensional antiferromagnet TMMChas been measured for 1.4 K<T<4.2 K under the application of the externalmagnetic field up to 60 KG, and found to show a rapid field variation associatedwith a field-suppression of longitudinal fluctuations in the electronic spin system.T?" varies approximately as T)"cx:-z7'7(H).
