First order light scattering near the spin-flop transition point in antiferromagnets is studied theoretically. The anomalous increases are obtained in the light scattering intensities against an external magnetic field near the spin-flop transition point and also the transition point to the paramagnetic state at zero temperature. The case of finite angle of the applied magnetic field with respect to the easy axis is also examined. Numerical results are presented for MnF_2 and FeF_2.
