Gauge Fluctuations due to Dilute Skyrmions in the Quantum Hall State

We investigate physical properties in the low-density linait of skyrmion excitations in the systetauat the Landau level filling factor v : 1 / odd, We derive the spin stmscepti bility and the effective i nteraction between skyrmions beyond the mean field (saddle-point) approximation. Otrr approachconsistently reprodtrces the spin strsceptibility with the maximtrrn structtnre at a finite teunperatvrre. We also find that the interaction is screened by thermally activated skyrmion-antiskyrnaionpairs, whose spectra are concentrated in the low freqtrency regime arotrnd c; : l['. x q', where F.is the relaxation rate. It is shown that the skyrrnion excitations reduce the magnetization andthat the aunotrnt of the reduction in the magnetization due to the skyrmion excitations becornessmall when we introduce the interaction bgtween skyrmions.
