Hall Effect in Heusler Alloys Fe_<2+x>V_<1-x>Al and Fe_<2+x>V_<1-x>Ga(Condensed Matter : Electronic Structure, Electrical, Magnetic and Optical Properties)

We have investigated the fild dependence of the Hall resistivity for Fe_<2+x>V_<1-x>Al (x = 0,0.1,0.2) and Fc_<2+x>V_<1-x>Ga (x = -0.1, 0.0, 0.1). The carrier concentration of nonmetallic Fe_2VAl is expected to be of the order of 1% of ordinary metals. The extraordinary Hall effect in the ferromagnetically ordered state is mainly characterized by the side-jump effect occurring in ferromagnetic clusters that have a metallic nature.
