The temperature dependence of magnetic susceptibility, z, of a cubic Lavesphase compound ScCo. was measured in the temperature range 4.2 -1018 K andfound to have a broad maximum at about 600 K. The temperature dependentKnight shift, K, of Sc was obtained from NMR experiment below room tem-perature. The K vs z plot gives a straight line resulting in - 41 k0e/p. as a trans-ferred hyperfine field from Co. It was concluded that ScCo. is an exchangeenhanced Pauli paramagnet of the same kind of YCo. and LuCo..
